CSL owns and operates the world’s third-largest fleet of pneumatic and mechanical cement carriers ranging from 3,000 to 28,000 DWT. Our vessels operate across Europe, Australia, and Asia, making us an ideal partner for customers with North American, Asian, or Indian Ocean trades that require the movement of high volumes of cement and other powder materials.
Our owned fleet of pneumatic self-unloading vessels is capable of discharging cargo at speeds of up to 1,200 tonnes per hour in a completely dust-free, enclosed environment, and without the need for shore-side assistance. This means, faster turnaround times and cost savings, no cargo spillage or waste, and no compromising on safety or the environmental.
Innovation from Start to Finish
Our expertise doesn't stop at owning and operating, we also build cement carriers. In 2019, we completed a cement ship conversion program involving the major transformation of three standard geared bulk carriers into 28,000 DWT pneumatic cement carriers. This program was executed in close collaboration with major Australian cement customers and is a testament to our commitment to excellence and providing our customers with the most advanced cement shipping solutions.
