Middleback is a non-propelled self-unloading barge (SUB) that is paired with the floating-offshore transfer barge (FOTB) Spencer Gulf. The barge unloads through a single continuous hopper-shaped hold fitted with a longitudinal conveyor belt and unloading boom. This vessel currently operates on the Australian Coast.

SUB Middleback is wholly owned and operated by CSL.
