Watch the making of The Runners, the epic mural painted on CSL Welland by four of Canada’s top young artists – Bryan Beyung, Emmanuel Jarus, Andrea Wan and KC Hall.

The monumental work-of-art commissioned by CSL was created in temperatures reaching -30°C over a two-week period at the Port of Montreal in January 2022.

Covering a 16-by-14-meter area on the accommodations block of CSL Welland, the collective artwork is a tribute to the upcoming Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.

The Runners is the second original mural painted on a CSL bulk carrier. In 2017, The Sea Keeper was painted on CSL Welland’s sister ship, CSL St-Laurent, earning CSL an International Corporate Art Award for our collaboration with urban artists.
